Product Summary

Email Marketing 98 is an application for windows 95 that will extract addresses from Internet news groups, text files, and AOL chat logs. It will then delete all duplicates and most bad or fake addresses. Then it will compare the names to a remove list that you compile, and put the remaining names in a list. After you type an Email message, you can press the send button and Email Marketing 98 will send that message to all the names on the list. Email Marketing 98 is designed to be operated from a Windows95 desktop by the average computer user, greatly lowering the costs of bulk mailings on the Internet.

Get Attention

Are you tired of being one small part of a huge crowd? Email Marketing 98 will get you noticed! Bulk-email works just like direct mail except instead of costing 50 cents to a dollar to mail each letter, bulk-email is nearly free. If you apply this program to a commercial project you can easily have your money back and much, much more within a few days. It is limited only by your creativity.

Many times the readers of a newsgroup are not in the same market as the posters of the group. For instance, many business groups are setup to sell a product to the readers. Email Marketing 98 will access the posters. It will get their attention and is limited only by your ability to be creative and convincing.

Remove Lists

Sending unsolicited email is, at this point in time, a controversial subject. There are those who believe in keeping so-called junk mail off the internet. Of course, this is a fact of life in other media, such as the telephone or snail mail, and is becoming so on the Internet. We feel, however, that you should make every effort to spare those who don't want to be bothered. That's why we have incorporated a remove list in Email Marketing 98 If you send a message to someone who replies with a request for no more mail, just enter their address in the remove list and Email Marketing 98 will automatically delete the address from any list of addresses that is open for sending.

You can also import a text file of addresses, such as from web sites that collect lists of private addresses. After importing such a file you can add your own list, or even manually edit, delete, or add other addresses.

In addition to this, we have our remove file included with Email Marketing 98 These are addresses of people who have told us they don't want to be bothered. You can also list any top-level domains that you don't want email send to, such as .mil or .gov. In the same dialog is a box where you can list any words or text that you don't want in addresses. Email Marketing 98 will delete all addresses with matching text.

Email Marketing 98 is an extremely powerful application. You must exercise great care when using it. Keep your messages cordial, short, and to the point. Use your remove lists generously. There are many people out there who are interested in your ideas, don't waste your time with those who aren't. Be sure to check the acceptable use policy of your service provider. Many don't like it when someone actually uses their service, but there are others that are willing to help. It may be advantageous to obtain the services of a separate mailbox provider, or even a bulk-mail provider.

Internec is providing us with some leadership in the field. Take a look at what Internic has to say on the subject.

AOL Users

AOL is not an Internet Service Provider, it's an online service that happens to be connected to the Internet. As a result, AOL doesn't have an Internet news server or a mail server using Internet protocols. You have to use AOL software to access them, they don't work on regular Internet software. Email Marketing 98 can use the Internet connection that AOL provides just fine. It needs a news server, and a mail server though.

Zippo.com is an Internet news outlet that will provide the news server access. It costs $19.00 per year. Check out www.zippo.com.

You can purchase a mailbox with many web access companies.

Also, you can purchase an account with a real Internet Service Provider for $10-20.00 per month and save the trouble. Stay away from online services, i.e. AOL, MSN, Prodigy, CompuServe. These services are great for their own community, but just don't have the functionality as Internet Service Providers.
